Common Phobias

Phobophobia, logically enough, is a phobia of phobias. Phobia itself comes from the Greek phóbos meaning aversion and describes the fear of particular situations or objects. Common phobias can often seem irrational to outsiders but are very real to those suffering from them. They may be social phobias (e.g. fear of humiliation, giving a speech etc.), specific phobias (fear of snakes, mice, even things like buttons!), and agoraphobia (fear of having a panic attack somewhere you can’t easily escape from, like travelling in an elevator). Some phobias can be explained by reading more about Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).
